Math Test Posted

Math:  7th grade warm-up.  Tests were handed back and results explained.  We went over the answers, reviewed retake options, and progress reports with all assignments were distributed.  Students need to return these signed.

Science:  We finalized our plans for paper towel absorbency tests to be conducted tomorrow.

Homework:  get progress report signed to return to Mrs. Stolp's basket.

no math homework tonight!

Wednesday:  Math Block 3 Test, collected homework, completed warm-up.  No homework if all caught up.

Math:  7th grade warm-up (hard algebra!), homework check collect, partner work on 4 problems,  Lesson 17 estimating fractions with white boards,  no homework.  New game "Cross out singles".

Science:  We shared our data from our first paper towel test.  Seven out of eight teams got the same exact results for the strongest towel.  Teams used lots of different procedures, yet we got similar data!

Homework:  No missing work?  Enjoy the weekend!

Paper Towel experiment

Math:  seventh grade warm-up, partner check homework, collected warm-ups for the week
Science:  We defined "fair test", "wet strength", and "absorbency" for our Paper Towel experiments.  We made observations about the physical properties of each brand of paper towels.
Homework:  If all caught up, none.

Measurement Lab

Math:  7th grade warm-up, corrected, collected homework.

Science:  Measuring length, mass, and volume with metric measurements.  Students did a good job with hands on measuring with triple beam balances, graduated cylinders and rulers.  We will finish the stations on Monday.

Homework:  Prepare for Block 2 Test;  because of the length of our science lab, students got little to no time to start the Block 2 Review.  I will collect it tomorrow, but will not be marking down for work shown etc.  They need to review for the test, but the Review will not be a graded assignment.

Tomorrow is early release.
